The mission of Women's Ministries to help every woman in our congregation—no matter what age or stage—to know Christ personally and to commit to extending His kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and world.

The women in the church nominate and elect members to serve on the Women’s Leadership Team, a group of six women who provide the vision and direction for this important ministry. They meet regularly for planning purposes and are responsible for ensuring that the women in our church have ample opportunities to minister and to grow in their relationship with Christ and with other women in the church.

Thursday Morning Bible Study/ Mission Day

The Thursday morning group meets every week from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. During this time, we enjoy fellowship, teaching, and prayer. Women are welcome to join us at any point in the study. The Thursday Morning Study is breaking for the summer and will return in the fall.

Once a month, our Thursday morning group takes a break from regular Bible study to work on a missions project to support our local community.  These projects include making bears with heartbeat recorders for the Women’s Resource Center (WRC), smocks for infants in the NICU, and blankets for CASA children.  These dates will be announced in our weekly email.  If you have any questions, would like to be added to this email list, please contact Paula Moore.

Please feel free to jump in to the Bible Study at any time!

Monday Evening Bible Study

Open to all women via Zoom on Mondays at 5:30PM. Our study for Spring 2022 is continuing the Gospel of John using NavPress study guide along with R.C. Sproul's commentary. Feel free to jump in when you can! Opal Bowden is leader/moderator. Contact the church office for more information or to sign up.

If you would like to know the date of our next LNO please follow our facebook page @fpcgulfport or if you have any other questions, please contact Michelle Barr or Rachel Carl. We hope you’ll join us!

Community Bible Reading

Paul tells us in Colossians 3:16 to "Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom." Community Bible Reading (CBR) groups are small groups that read scripture privately, then “teach and admonish one another” in the form of a group text or email. Each group has its own reading plan, but most groups read through an entire book of the Bible, a chapter a day, alternating Old and New Testaments. Not everyone has to share every time, but hearing from others how God has impacted them will keep us in fellowship with one another and encourage others to continue reading. If you are interested in joining a CBR group or creating a small group of your own, please email the church office.
